Why I Love This Recipe

I tried to copy this recipe from a restaurant that my husband and i go to. they make their sheppards pie with lamb and soak it in guinness. that's all they will tell me. so this is my spin on it.

Ingredients You'll Need

2 lbs of lamb
1 pint of guinness
1 package of McCormick’s Hunter Blend
2 cloves of garlic
1 can cream corn
1/1 stick of butter
5 potatoes for mashing
1/2 stick of cream cheese
1 cup of half n half
olive oil

marinate the lamb for at least 6 hours in guinness.

brown the meat in a skillet and add the ingredients for hunter sauce. let this simmer until most of the liquid is evaporated.

in a small frying pan add olive oil and garlic (unpeeled) roast on medium heat for about 15 - 20 min. set off to the side when done.

boil potatoes until soft enough to mash. drain water and put back into the pot. add butter - cream cheese and half n half. mix together until thick and creamy. chop the roasted garlic and add into the potatoes.

in a large casserole dish place the cooked lamb on the bottom. add cream corn and spread to cover. add potatoes and spread to cover.

place in the oven on 250 / 275 cook until the potatoes are golden.

If you love sheppards pie you'll love this!!!!
