Shoyu Poke Ahi (Raw Yellow Fin Tuna with Soy Sauce)

Why I Love This Recipe
Poke is very much a traditional food in Hawai'i and is served in restaurants also in restaurants where they serve local food and at luaus. The recipe for Shoyu Poke Ahi we found in E Hoolako Mau all Hawaiian Cookbook. We had the pleasure of being at a Ho'olaulea at the right time when the author Tamar Luke Panee was there and signed our book.
Ingredients You'll Need
3 pounds ahi fillet cut into poke (bite size)
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
3/4 cup shoyu (Japanese soy sauce)
6 cloves garlic, chopped fine
2 chili peppers, seeds removed and chopped fine
Directions
Combine oil, shoyu and peppers in a bowl.
Mix thoroughly. Add poke 'ahi and press down on the fish each time fish is mixed.
Marinade and chill at least 1 hour before serving.
