Why I Love This Recipe

Ingredients You'll Need

Bag of frozen shrimp
3 to 4 cans of white navy beans (or canelli beans)
1 medium to large jalepeno
2 cups of sweet white frozen corn
1 cup of cilantro
salt and pepper (not sure how much i use, but i put enough in to make it smell good, does that make sense?)
oil (whatever your preference)

Large bowl
large pan to fry patties
hands preferably two
a flippy thing
mashing thing

1. Defrost shrimp in warm water, but don't cook

2. Peel shrimp

3. 4 cans of beans, strain and rinse

4. Put 1/2 cup of beans aside

5. Put the rest of beans into large bowl and mash into a paste, but doesn't have to be smooth just enough to hold everything together

6. Chop up shrimp

7. Defrost corn

8. Chop up cilantro

9. chop/mince jalepenos

10. Put shrimp, cilantro and corn into bowl and Mix with hands

11. Add Salt, pepper, and Jalepenos and mix (careful might want to use a spoon at this point because I always forget and my hands catch on fire from the jalepenos and stay on fire for the rest of the week.)

12. Test the consistency by making one patty and see if it is pasty enough to stay together, if not mash the rest of the beans( the 1/2 cup) and add a bit of flour and water. If the consistency is good you can partially mash the rest of the beans and add

13. Heat up oil in saucepan you want about 1/2 inch of oil

14. Make patties (one handful)

15. fry on each side until golden brown, becareful when you do the first flip since one side is hard and the other side is soft they may break

this makes alot of patties so if you mess up on one there will be plenty more. I like to add a little bit of lemon or lime to it when i eat it it's really good on a salad or sandwich.
