Shrimp and Spanish Rice

Why I Love This Recipe

A quick simple meal for those of us who hate spending hours preparing a meal. Can always substitute the shrimp with chicken or steak.


Ingredients You'll Need

Medium sized bag of shrimp (fully cooked)
2 packages of Knorr Spanish Rice
Sweet and Sour Sauce
Minced garlic
Old Bay Seasoning
Salt
Pepper
Soy Sauce
1/4 stick of salted butter


Directions

Thaw out shrimp ahead of time.


Bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil on high/medium heat.


While waiting for the water to boil, peal shrimp.


When the water comes to a boil, stir in the 2 rice packets. Stir and then cover.


While the rice cooks, melt better in a small pan. Once the butter is melted add in the minced garlic. Stir constantly. Add in shrimp and season with old bay to taste.


Add in shrimp and stir constantly, warming the shrimp all the way through. Flip the shrimp halfway through and add a little more old bay.


When the rice comes to a boil, stir, simmer and let rest till water has soaked up.


When rice is done, add rice to a bowl, top with shrimp, drizzle sweet and sour and salt and pepper to taste.
