Skillet Corn Bread

Ingredients You'll Need
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
3 T flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening plus more for pan
1 1/2 cups milk
1 egg, beaten
Directions
Combine corn meal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Melt extra shortening in 10 inch skillet or 9 inch square pan in a 425 degree oven. Add milk, egg, and shortening to dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour in skillet. Bake 20-25 minutes.
