Small white Cake

Why I Love This Recipe
I have several favorite "from scratch" cakes. I rarely ever use a cake mix. But this one is such a good, moist cake and one our family loves so much.
This is absolutely delicious!!
Ingredients You'll Need
8 inch layer cake
1/4 c. butter
1 level cupful of sugar
1/2 cupful milk
2 egg whites, well beaten
1/2 teaspoonful almond extract
2 level teaspoonfuls baking powder
1 1/2 level cupfuls flour
pinch salt
Directions
Cream butter and sugar together, add milk, extract and flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
Beat for 5 minutes; fold in egg whites and turn into buttered tin and bake for 35 minutes in moderate (350F) oven.
Frost with desired frosting.
