Why I Love This Recipe
This is my favorite recipe for Smoke Mac & Cheese and I promise you this will be the talk of the party or family get together.
Ingredients You'll Need
• 2 Tablespoons Butter
• 2 Tablespoons Flour
• 2 Cups of Heavy Cream
• 1 lb. Extra Sharp Cheddar (Shredded)
• ½ lb. Monterey Jack (Shredded)
• 1-2 Tablespoons Hot Sauce
• 1 Cup of Mayo
• 1 Cup of Sour Cream
• 1 Teaspoon All Purpose Seasoning
• 12 oz. Elbow Macaroni
• ½ Cup Panko
• 12 oz. Bacon
Step 1: Cook 12 oz. Macaroni according to box and drain and add to mixing bowl
Step 2: Start with the roux by heating 2 tablespoons of butter and flour over medium heat. Cook until the roux becomes fragrant. Then add the cheese to the sauce slowly and stir cheese until blended. Once cheese is blended add 1-2 tablespoons of franks hot sauce and mix.
Step 3: Mix Sauce to the macaroni and mix: 1 cup of mayo, 1 cup of sour cream, 1 teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning.
Step 4: Add Mix to EZ Foil Casserole & Lasagna Baking Pan and add panko/chopped bacon to the top.
Step 5: Set or adjust smoker to 350 degrees with pecan wood (soak wood before adding)
Step 6: Smoke Macaroni for 1 hour and done.
