Soft Rolled Molasses Cookies
Why I Love This Recipe
A really good cookie...like the old-fashioned Molasses cookies that Grandma would bake.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk (or 1/2 c. sweet milk, add 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar)
1/2 c. molasses
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
5 to 6 c. flour
Directions
Add wet ingredients to dry.
Drop teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
