Ingredients You'll Need
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar, divided
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground cloves
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, 1 cup of sugar, and the molasses
Beat in the egg until smooth
Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, ginger, and cloves
Stir into the molasses mixture
Spread into a greased 15 x 10 inch baking pan
Sprinkle with the remaining sugar
Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned (Do Not Overbake)
Cool on a wire rack
Cut into bars
