Ingredients You'll Need

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whole milk
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pink food coloring
Sprinkles or edible glitter for decoration


Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.


In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.


Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.


In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.


Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk and sour cream. Mix until just combined.


Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the batter and stir until the desired color is achieved.


Scoop the batter into the prepared cupcake tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.


Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before decorating with sprinkles or edible glitter.

These cupcakes pair perfectly with a glass of pink lemonade for a refreshing and delightful treat.
