This recipe is an excellent way to enjoy a gluten free turkey burger that is full of flavour and will not disappoint. If you are also dairy free omit the goat cheese and enjoy the burgers without.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup spinach chopped
1 clove of garlic minced
1/2 yellow onion grated
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp back pepper
1/4 cup goat cheese crumbles
1 lb ground turkey
1/4 cup ground oats
1 egg
Directions
Mix the spinach, garlic, onion, oregano, sea salt, pepper, egg, ground oats and ground turkey in a bowl until combined.
Fold in the crumbled goat cheese and shape into 4 burger patties.
Heat a cast iron skillet or frying pan to medium-high heat and add 1/2 tbs of coconut or avocado oil.
Add the patties and cook each side for about 5 minutes. After flipping once check to ensure the patties are cooked through and remove them from the heat.
Add patties to bun or lettuce wrap and fix them up with all of your favourite toppings.
