Did you know that the Krabby Patty was inspired by a real-life burger joint in California called Jack's Surf Hut? The creator of SpongeBob SquarePants, Stephen Hillenburg, worked there as a fry cook and drew inspiration from the restaurant's iconic burger.
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, onion, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
Stir in 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll into small balls, placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and slightly browned.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the hot meatballs.
Allow the cheese to melt for a minute or two before serving.
Serve warm, and enjoy these bite-sized Krabby Patty treats!

A refreshing glass of pineapple-coconut smoothie, reminiscent of SpongeBob's tropical home under the sea.
