Sue's Delectabites

Why I Love This Recipe
Cookie Exchange 1993 ~ I selected this recipes because it reminded me of my Grandma Ruth who loved snowballs. This is my twist.
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 C. butter, softened
1/4 C. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. finely chopped walnuts
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
Powdered sugar
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix butter, powdered sugar and vanilla; mix well. Gradually stir in flour, then walnuts.
Shape into crescents or 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in upper third of oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until firm but not brown. Gently roll in powdered sugar on wire racks. Drizzle cookies with melted chocolate. Let sit until chocolate is firm.
How to drizzle chocolate. Place 1 square of Baker's semi-sweet chocolate in a heavy duty zipper-style plastic sandwich bag. Close bag tightly. Microwave on high about 1 minute or until melted. Fold down top of bag tightly and snip a tiny piece off 1 corner (about 1/8"). Holding top of bag tightly, drizzle chocolate through opening over cookies.
