Ingredients You'll Need
3/4 cups sugar, 1/2 cup shortening, 1/4 cup butter, 2 eggs beaten, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, nutmeg, 1/2 tsp side in 3 tbl. evaporated milk.
Directions
Cream sugar, shortening and butter together. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt and dash nutmeg together.
Mix evaporated milk and soda together.
Add flour mixture and milk mixture alternatively with flour mixture.
At this point you can roll out and cut with favorite cookie cutter or leave in 1" balls.
Bake 375 degrees 12-15 minutes
