Because who doesn't like sugar cookies?
Ingredients You'll Need
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
Directions
In mixing bowl, cream shortening, butter, and sugar. Stir in each egg and mix thoroughly; then vanilla. Gradually fold in sifted dry ingredients. Work with about half the dough, keeping the remainder chilled. Roll dough out on a board, lightly dusted with flour and sugar to 1/8' thickness. Cut in desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in oven at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Cook on rack.
