Ingredients You'll Need
3 generous tbs. shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
3-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
salt, to taste
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
RAISIN FILLING
1 cup raisins, cut
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. butter
Directions
Mix like a cake.
Roll rather thin.
Moisten edges of half the cookies
as you fill them with raisin filling.
Bake in a quick oven (400 degrees)
Filling:
Combine ingredients and cook until thick.
Cool while making cookie dough.
Place 1 tsp. filling between two cookies.
Moisten edges and press
firmly with a fork.
