Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Ingredients You'll Need
2 lbs lean ground beef
2 large eggs
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 3/4 cups pineapple juice (reserved), plus water if necessary (to measure)
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 (14 oz) can pineapple tidbits, juice drained & reserved as above
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder in a bowl & mix well, shape into 1-inch balls.
Brown meatballs in nonstick frying pan, drain on paper towel & place into large ungreased casserole dish.
To make sauce, combine brown sugar & cornstarch in large saucepan, whisking in pineapple juice/water combination until mixture is smooth.
Add vinegar, soy sauce & worcestershire, stir.
Simmer, uncovered, on medium-low heat for about 8 minutes or until thickened.
Pour sauce over meatballs & add pineapple tidbits, stir gently to combine until meatballs are covered. Bake for 30 mins.
This is awesome with rice for a meal, or on their own as an appetizer.
To shake things up a bit try adding some chopped green & red pepper or even onion.
