Ingredients You'll Need

4 large sweet potatoes
1 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ cup (8 tablespoons) butter
½ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
Topping:
½ cup (8 tablespoons) butter
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup pecan pieces


Directions

1. Peel and quarter the potatoes. Place in a large pot and cover with water; cook until well done then


drain.


2. Return potatoes to the pot, add all remaining ingredients, and then mash together. Pour into a lightly


buttered large casserole dish.


3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.


4. Combine first four ingredients of topping in a saucepan. Cook on low heat until thickened, cool. Add


vanilla to mixture and pour over top of casserole. Sprinkle top with pecans and bake for 45 minutes.
