Why I Love This Recipe

Recipe photo is AI generated. The sauce was good, but I think it would taste better on chicken for our family.

Ingredients You'll Need

3 lb. spareribs
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 to 3/4 c. vinegar
1 c. crushed pineapple
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Salt and pepper

Brown ribs in oven at 425° for 20 to 30 minutes. Drain.

Mix all other ingredients, except salt and pepper, in saucepan. Stir. Cover over medium heat until thick and glossy, stirring constantly.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over browned ribs. Spoon sauce over each piece, using 1/2 sauce.

Reduce heat to 350° and bake 45 minutes.

Turn ribs, cover with remaining sauce, and bake 30 minutes more or until well done.

Serve with rice. Sauce is delicious on chicken, too.
