Why I Love This Recipe

This is a staple with our family. We always had the ingredients on hand. They are very simple, and we love them! Except when my sister made them. We believe she misread the 1/2 TSP salt and used 1/2 CUP salt. Wow. I strongly advise against that variation!!!

Ingredients You'll Need

1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt butter. Add sugar, then eggs. Add dry ingredients, vanilla, and nuts.

Spread in a greased 10x15 cookie sheet (with sides).

Bake 20 minutes. Sift powdered sugar over them and cut while warm.

Questions, Comments & Reviews

wow this looks really amazing, but my brother is allergic to nuts, any suggestions on what to substitute for the pecans?
