Ingredients You'll Need
• 1 (8-count) roll of crescent rolls
• 4 frozen sweet potato patties
• 1 cup of water
• 1 cup of sugar
• 6 TBS butter
• ½ TBS cornstarch
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Cinnamon for sprinkling on top
Directions
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
• Cut each sweet potato patty in half.
• Roll 1 sweet potato half in each crescent roll, starting with the wider end and rolling towards the smaller end. Tuck the sides of the crescent roll in as you roll.
• Place rolled crescent rolls in an 8x8 baking dish.
• In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, butter, and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat until the butter has melted and the sugar is dissolved. Stir occasionally.
• Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
• Pour the saucepan mixture over the dumplings in the baking dish.
• Sprinkle cinnamon over the top to your liking.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
