Almost without fail, this Thai chicken recipe generally ran out at lunch because of it's delicious authenticity. It's fairly easy to make, too
Ingredients You'll Need
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tbsps. oyster sauce
1/2 tbsps. soy sauce
2 tbsps. fish sauce
2 tbsps. brown sugar
2 tbsps. cooking oil
1 lb. ground skinless/boneless chicken thighs
1 shallot minced
4 garlic cloves minced
1 julienned red bell pepper
2 tbsps. sliced Thai chili
1 cup Thai basil
1 cup cooked jasmine rice
Directions
Make the sauce by mixing the chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce and brown sugar.
Get a pan/wok hot and add cooking oil. Add the chicken and stir until the chicken turns light brown about 2 mins. Add the shallot and garlic and continue to cook on high for 3-4 mins until the chicken starts to caramelize.
Add the sauce and julienned red bell pepper and continue to cook until most of the sauce is absorbed by the chicken and you have a nice glaze on the chicken.
At the very end toss in the Thai basil and toss everything together until the Thai basil is wilted.
Serve with Jasmine rice and enjoy!
