The Best Cranberry Sauce Ever
Why I Love This Recipe
Cranberry sauce has always been my favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner. When I was younger my mom gave this job to me because it was my favorite thing to eat so I loved to make it and sneak tastes while doing so, but I think secretly she just gave it to me because it was so simple and easy to do and there is no way to mess it up. You can make it hours before dinner, or even the day before and keep it in the fridge until you're ready to serve it.
Ingredients You'll Need
12 oz Cranberries (I think this is two bags)
1 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice (or water for less tart flavor but I prefer OJ)
Grated Orange Rind
Bring OJ and sugar to boil to dissolve sugar.
Add berries and bring back to boil.
Gently Boil for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and orange rind.
Serve in a pretty bowl and place orange slice halves around the sides of the bowl.
Top with a little grated orange rind for color and decoration.
Place in fridge until serving and serve cold.
I still make it myself every year out of tradition :)
