Toffee Swirl Brownies

Why I Love This Recipe
These are a really dense fudgy brownie. The pepper gives it a nice kick for balance:)
Ingredients You'll Need
1 (14oz)can sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 sticks butter
3.5 oz good quality dark chocolate (I recommend 70-85% dark)
2 tsp amaretto
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup flour
Directions
To make the toffee:
Boil the sweetened condensed milk in can in a pot of boiling water for 2 hours.
This can be done in advance and allowed to cool - just microwave for 1 minute and stir to make it a bit more liquid when you go to make the brownies.
To make the brownies:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Beat eggs and brown sugar until fluffy.
Melt together chocolate and butter over low heat in a saucepan.
Combine this with the egg mixture.
Add the salt, pepper, and amaretto and combine. Stir in the flour.
Pour into a greased jelly roll pan and spread evenly.
Dollop in the toffee and swirl with a knife. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and serve.
These are really fudgy - you will need a spatula to get them out of the pan:)
