Why I Love This Recipe
very good cookies better with milk
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy and light, about 2 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then blend in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in the semisweet, milk chocolate, and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the cookies are set at the edges but still soft in the centers. Be careful not to overbake.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
