Turkey Chili

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
1 large yellow onion, chopped
3 tablespoons cumin
4 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
3 tablespoons good sherry (I used red wine because I didn't have sherry)
20 ounces of a combination of black and kidney beans (I used organic canned)
16 ounce jar of roasted red peppers
16 ounce can of tomato sauce
29 ounce can of whole tomatoes with basil
Directions
Put all in the slow cooker. If you want to keep the turkey fat lower, cook the ground turkey in a pan first. I like using as few pans as possible so I do it all at once. Cook on low for about 10 hours. Adjust to the elevation where you live.
