Why I Love This Recipe
My uncle used to make a version of this for a Texas chili cook off every year. My step mom modified it to her liking and makes this all the time. It's now a family favorite!
Ingredients You'll Need
1lb ground beef
1lb of hot ground sausage
1-2 chopped green chilies
1-2 chopped jalapenos
1 large block of velveeta, cubed
1 large jar of hot salsa
*optional items: mexican chili beans, cilanto, grounded cumin, chopped onion or chopped fresh garlic.
Directions
Brown beef & sausage, drain. In a large crock pot mix together salsa, chilies, jalapenos, velveeta and browned meat. Cook on high until cheese is melted. Turn down to low or warm.
Serve with tortilla chips & fritos.
