Why I Love This Recipe

This is my Grandmother's recipe. It's perfect for any occasion you want cut-outs.

Cream together:
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter (2 sticks)

Add: 2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

Add Gradually:
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Chill thoroughly, then roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cutout cookies with cookie cutters, place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° until lightly brown around edges.

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 egg

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tsp vanilla

Questions, Comments & Reviews

Is there really an egg in the frosting? I wasn't sure if that was a typo. Please let us know. Won't that make you sick to have a raw egg in the frosting? Maybe I could substitute egg beaters instead. Sounds interesting and peaked my interest. I will see if you post. Thanks
