2 cups sugar
pinch of salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch
4 eggs, beaten
4 cups milk, scalded
2 cups cream
2 tbsp. vanilla
Directions
Blend sugar, salt and cornstarch in a bowl. Beat the eggs until smooth. Add a small amount of milk. Stir in scalded milk. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cool. Stir in cream and vanilla.
Pour into ice cream freezer container. Add enough milk to reach line. Freeze using ice cream freezing directions from manufacturer.
