"Not your average black bean burger"

Serves 4-6 | Prep Time 10 | Cook Time 10

Why I Love This Recipe

I love veggie burgers, but the basic black bean burger can get boring and messy. I try to change up the ingredients in mine to keep it interesting and healthy.

Ingredients You'll Need

1/2 Block Extra Firm Tofu
1 1/2 Cups Broccoli
1 1/2 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
2 whole or 4 halves - Sundried Tomatoes from oil (I used Good and Gather brand from Target)
1/2 Cup Nutritional Yeast
2 TBSP Minced Garlic
1/2 Onion chopped
2 TBSP Liquid Aminos
1/2 Cup Corn Starch


Using a food processor or blender: pulse together tofu, broccoli, mushrooms, garlic, onion, nutritional yeast, liquid aminos and sun dried tomatoes - just until finely chopped.

Pour into a bowl and mix in corn starch and form into patties.

Preheat skillet on medium heat with your choice of oil or butter. I use avocado oil or vegan butter.

Cook for about 1/2-2 minutes on each side. I flattened them a bit in the pan so they cook all the way through and do not fall apart as easily.

Serve them up with your choice of bun and condiments. I used black bean hummus and vegan feta cheese.

Pairs Well With

Sweet potato fries and white wine.
