Versatile Fruit Crumble

Why I Love This Recipe
I make a simple fruit "crisp" or "crumble" at our BBQs that is easy to prep in advance and pull out of the oven at the party. You can use almost any variety of fruit and berry mix, and then there's a simple topping that gets sprinkled over the top. This is an Alice Waters recipe, but from her children's cookbook," Fanny at Chez Panisse," which I love.
Ingredients You'll Need
8 cups fruit
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar (more or less, depending on sweetness of the fruit)
1 c flour
1/3 c brown sugar
1 T granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter
Directions
Mix fruit with 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour and 1 Tbsp. sugar.
For topping, mix together the 1 cup flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar and butter. Rub with your fingers until crumbly.
Spread the fruit in a 2-quart glass or ceramic dish and sprinkle the topping evenly.
Bake in 375 degree F oven for about 40 minutes, until brown and bubbly. Eat warm with ice cream or cream.
