"Kaye's Sugar Diabetes Tea"

Serves Yield: 2 quarts | Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time

Why I Love This Recipe

When Kaye came home, everyone knew we were in for a taste treat. She knew how to make the tea so strong and sweet we just knew we would get sugar diabetes. The name stuck, and we still love it when she makes the tea. The key is to make it strong, then let the ice dilute it.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 Family size or 5 small black tea bags
2 quarts water
3/4 cup sugar
Lemon wedges for garnish

Put tea bag(s) in water, let steep for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the tea bags and add sugar. Stir well until sugar dissolves.

Pour sweetened tea mixture in a 2 quart pitcher. Add cold water to pitcher until it is full. Serve tea over ice, garnish with lemon.
