Why I Love This Recipe

Wasabi is Japanese horseradish. It is most commonly used as a green paste as a condiment for sashimi and sushi.

Ingredients You'll Need

4 teaspoons wasabi powder
2½ teaspoons water

Directions

Put wasabi powder in a small bowl. Add a teaspoon of water to the wasabi powder and mix together using a chopstick to make a thick paste. Continue adding very small amounts of water until you reach the desired consistency.

Turn the bowl upside down while you prepare the sushi. The wasabi paste will stick to the bottom of the bowl while upside down. This will preserve the flavor of the wasabi until it is ready to be used.
