This a sweet treat that is not overly sweet so it goes well for breakfast or snack time!
Ingredients You'll Need
1c Oil
4 Eggs
2 ½ tsp Vanilla
1/3c Orange Juice
2c Sugar
3 tsp Baking Powder
3c Flour
4 peeled & thinly sliced Apples
Cinnamon & sugar mixture
Raisins & chopped Walnuts (if desired)
Directions
1. Beat eggs in a large bowl : add oil and mix
2. Add vanilla and orange juice
3. Add dry ingredients: mix well
4. Pour half the batter into a greased and floured tube pan
5. Cover with ½ the apples & ½ the cinnamon/sugar mixture
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 with remaining batter, apples and cinnamon/sugar
7. Sprinkle top with raisins and walnuts if desired
8. Bake at 350 for 1 ½ hrs. Allow to cool before removing from pan
*Tip: run a knife around the outer and inner edges of the cake while still warm to make removal easier.
