Why I Love This Recipe
This recipe is in the "Beanie Baby Handbook" which was Devin's favorite book for quite some time. Many pages have post it notes in them, marking his favorite recipes. He always wanted me to make this recipe.
Ingredients You'll Need
8 c boiling water
1 t salt
1 1/2 c elbow macaroni
1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 T butter
4 T flour
1 c milk
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Boil macaroni in salted water.
Cook until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain. Pour into a buttered 2 quart casserole dish.
Melt butter with flour in saucepan. Add milk and stir constantly over medium heat until mixture smooth and thickened. Turn off the heat. Add half of the cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
Pour cheese sauce over the macaroni and stir until all noodles are well coated. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes.

Serve as a side dish or main dish.
