Yule Wassail

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
2 litres apple juice
1 litre orange juice
1 litre cranberry juice
2 litres grape juice
3 cups Brandy
2 cups Sherry
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup raw sugar
5-10 cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup cloves
1 whole nutmeg
Directions
Combine in large stock pot or large crock pot:
Tie in a square of cheesecloth:
(alternately, if you have a strainer in your pot, these can be put directly into the liquid)
5-10 cinnamon sticks ,1/4 cup cloves,1 whole nutmeg.
Simmer on low heat until it comes to a boil. Do not heat too quickly - the spices need time to mull. When it boils, that is your sign that it's at it's best to drink. (This usually takes up to a half hour for me.)
You can store this for up to 10 days in the refrigerator and either re-heat or serve chilled.
