Yummy in my Tummy Sweet Green Smoothie

Why I Love This Recipe
Not gonna lie, sipping on green smoothies in the morning makes me happy. If you haven't tried this, you may want to start. That bland bowl of cereal you have been eating for the last 25 years will be thrown out the window. Fuel up, and put a smile on your face!So delicious you might forget how good it is for you! Rich in fiber, protein, magnesium, vitamins and leafy green goodness.
(I like VEGA), vanilla or chocolate (chocolate will turn this into a brown smoothy, but as appealing to look at but still just as tasty)
Ingredients You'll Need
Ingredients
1 cup non-dairy milk or almond milk
1 frozen banana (my favorite, but you can add any fruit. Pineapple is a good one!)
2 giant handfuls of chard (or spinach or kale)
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
Large thumb sized piece of fresh peeled ginger
1 Scoop of protein powder (optional but really, I do recommend. It turns your shake into a nice frothy beverage)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup ice cubes for hot summer days!
Directions
Prep ingredients by washing and drying the chard, chopping the apple and freezing a few bananas.
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend from low to high until frosty and smooth. Tip: For an even thicker blend, only add 1/2 cup non-dairy milk OR add another frozen banana or another frozen fruit like mango or frozen melon cubes.
