"An easy, quick raw dressing with sweet and zesty flavor to balance out your dark leafy greens."
Serves 4 | Prep Time 7 minutes | Cook TimeWhy I Love This Recipe
This is a handy, quick dressing that welcomes raw ingredients such as allergy-fighting raw honey. When you eat dark leafy greens like kale, broccoli, spinach & more...you need a healthy fat to extract all the fat-soluble vitamins (such as Vitamin A) The chia seeds and yogurt are here to provide that for you.
Dark greens can have a bitter element to the taste, so this dressing is purposefully a little sweet n' zesty to counter that. The fruit & honey pair up to take the punch out of those healthy greens.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 tangerine
1/3 cup plain yogurt (unsweetened)
1 and 1/2 tablespoon agave or honey
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon dry MySeeds Chia seeds
Directions
First, zest the tangerine.
Remove the zested tangerine peel & section the tangerine. Cut the sections into bite size pieces.
In a measuring cup or small prep-cup/ bowl combine the yogurt, zest, honey, mustard & chia seeds. Stir to combine.
Assemble your green leafy salad, and evenly distribute the tangerine sections on top of the greens. Top the salad with the dressing.
Optionally, you can add sliced almonds as you see here for some crunch. The zesty sweet dressing can balance out the bitter note in darker greens like kale.
