Why I Love This Recipe

A friend sent this too me and I haven't tried it yet. Might use it for Thanksgiving Day

Ingredients You'll Need

2 large eggs
cheese
ham
onion
green pepper
tomato
hash browns
salsa

Directions

Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.

Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake.

Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.

Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You

can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot.

Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for

everyone to be amazed.

Questions, Comments & Reviews

I have never heard of doing that, before. Maybe I'll try it, next time I have company. From the name alone, I thought you make an omelet with ziplock bags as an ingredients.

Just wonder if you cook the peppers, hashbrowns, onions, etc. beforehand. Or do they cook enough in the water?

I do this all the time especially when camping. There are a couple of things:
First, you have no idea how non-permanent a permanent marker is when you boil it! No matter what you do, it will come off. Try writing it on the very top edge of the bag and try to keep that part out of the water.
Second, you can use more eggs you just have to boil it longer. It comes out to about 6 minutes per egg.
