"great halloween treat"

Ingredients You'll Need

2 c sugar
1/4 c light corn syrup
1/2 c heavy cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
kosher salt
6 apples well washed and dried
nonstick coating spray


Directions

add sugar, corn syrup, 1/2 c of water to a saucepan over med-high heat, stir ingredients together before sugar comes to a boil, bring mixture to a boil


cook until mixture is a amber color, stir then cook again until a deep amber color and remove off heat


poor in cream and whisk to combine, stir in butter, vanilla, and pinch of salt, whisk until smooth


dip each apple carefully using the stick as a handle, allow excess caramel to drip off


place on parchment paper and sprinkle on topping of your choice,


let apples cool and dry before serving
