Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
½ cup of chorizo (optional)
1 cup diced ham
4 cups cooked pinto beans
4 slices of uncooked bacon chopped
14 ounce can of chopped tomatoes drained
3 to 6 serrano peppers chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon chili power
salt to taste (remember our beans have salt.)
In large skillet fry chorizo and bacon, when done, add onion and peppers. Sauté ( about a minute will do.) Add all ingredients to beans.
Simmer about 10 to 15 minutes. Add small amount of water if needed. Using our already cooked beans. Point being put the kitchen sink in the beans. And you will be close to mexican bean recipe=charro.
Sprinkle in small amount of chili powder, add fried bacon pieces, extra diced pepper, if you need more heat, diced carrots, etc. This could get us back to adding the kitchen sink.
