1 c sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 c half and half
4 egg yolks beaten
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
1) In pan combine sugar, cornstarch, and half and half over medium heat until mixture bubbles and then for 2 minutes
2) Remove from heat add one cup of egg yolk whisk it until the other mixture, bring to a boil and then reduce for two minutes
3) remove from heat add butter, vanilla, and salt, mix and then pour into individual dishes cover the top with plastic wrap, then chill before serving
