whiskey crab soup

Why I Love This Recipe
My wife and I tried this soup in a restaurant and really enjoyed it. Over the years we kept going back just for the soup. So finally, after a day of crabbing, I decided to try and duplicate the recipe and this is what I came up with! ENJOY!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 T.olive oil
1 c. shrd. carrots
.5 T basil
.5 T garlic powder
.5 C chopped red onion
2.75 C. chopped canned tomatoes
4 C. water
2 T. fish stock
.5 C butter
.5 c. water
.5 c flour
2/3 c red sauce
2 bay leaves
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1 T. lemon juice
1/2 T. worchestershire sauce
1 tsp. tabasco sauce
2/3 C. crab meat
2 C. heavy cream
1/2 T. sherry
1 T. whiskey.
