APPLE CRISP PUDDING

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 c. apples (about)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 7 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. water (about)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. flour
DIRECTIONS
  1. Peel and core 6 or 8 apples and cut in slices 1/4-inch
  2. thick. There should be about 4 cups apples. Butter casserole
  3. dish; place apples in layers. Mix water and cinnamon and pour
  4. over the apples. Work together the sugar, flour and butter
  5. with fingertips until crumbly and spread over the apples. Bake
  6. uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve warm with
  7. whipped cream.
  8. Note: If canned, sliced apples are used, cut slices
  9. smaller if desired and use juice instead of water
