Almond Torte Filling
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/ tsp salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 2 cups scaled milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • I use almond extrct but be careful it is very strong so only add a few drops.
  1. Combinge sugar cornstarch, salt and yolks and beat.
  2. Add butter and enough milk to make a paste consistency.
  3. Add the paste to the remaining milk and cook over boiling water stirring constantly until thick.
  4. Cool and add vanilla or almond flavoring
  5. Put one cake layer on serving plate, then filling then top cake .
