American Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 20 to 30 minutes
- Servings: 6 to 8
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon hot fat
- 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
- 1 4-ounce can tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 8 ounces wide noodles, cooked
- 8 ounces swiss cheese
- 1 12-ounce carton cottage cheese
DIRECTIONS
- Brown beef and garlic in hot fat.
- Add tomato paste, tomatoes, and seasonings.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Layer cooked noodles, swiss cheese, cottage cheese, and meat sauce in an oblong baking dish.
- Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Serve with grated parmesan cheese
