Anna's Potluck Layered Salad
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 10 min to fry bacon
- Servings: 8-10
- Preparation Time: 30
- 16 oz salad greens, your choice
- 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped red peppers
- 2 green onions, sliced (can substitute red onion slices)
- 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas, thawed
- 3/4 cup Real Mayonnaise or half mayo, half Miracle Whip
- 3/4 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 12 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled
DIRECTIONS
- Place greens in large glass bowl; top with layers of celery, peppers, onions and peas.
- Spread mayo over peas, completely covering top of salad and sealing to edge of bowl. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
- Refrigerate 2 to 12 hours to blend flavors. Toss before serving, if desired.
- Note: Salad stays fresh longer if you don't mix.
- Fresh tomato can be added to the salad at the time of serving, if desired.
