Apple Cream Pie

  • Servings: 8 slices
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, reserve half
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ ounce butter, softened
  • 6 large apples, sliced paper thin
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Slice apples and sprinkle the cinnamon and ½ teaspoon of sugar over them.
  3. Make cream cheese filling with cream cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  4. Add apples to pie crust; pour cream cheese filing over apples. Then mix brown sugar and flour together making crumb mix with pecans and place on top.
  5. Bake in oven at 350° F until you see it bubble, about 45 minutes.
  6. This pie is best served when made the day before and allowed to chill overnight.
