Apple Crisp
INGREDIENTS
- Apples:
- 1-1 1/2 c. sugar
- Cinnamon
- Butter
- Topping:
- 1 c flour
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
DIRECTIONS
- Mix together until crumbly.
- Fill 9x13 in pan with sliced apples.
- Sprinkle sugar over apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples. Dot with butter. Put topping mixture over apples.
- Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Best served warm with ice cream.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I got this recipe from my one of my uncles' cookbooks. There is no one person it belongs to, it has just been handed down through the years. My dad has a ton of apple trees and this is one way to get rid of the apples. I usually make this dessert for my neighbor for morning coffee. It is wonderful for the cook with little in their kitchen.
