Apple Crunch

INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 40 to 45
  • 6 apples -- peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup butter -- melted
DIRECTIONS
  1. Arrange apple slices in 9 inch baking dish.
  2. Cover with one cup of the brown sugar, nutmeg and lemon peel.
  3. Roll corn flakes into fine crumbs and combine with remaining sugar and butter. Sprinkle on top of apples.
  4. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until the apples are done.
  5. Serve with whipped cream.
